A hearing set tomorrow, in which the ACLU was trying to get access to a number of Bush-era memos from the Office of Legal Counsel relating to the torture and rendition of terror suspects, has been cancelled. The Obama administration said they would provide the memos, but asked for a 90-day extension, which the ACLU said was unacceptable. The ACLU and the Obama administration appear to have reached a compromise, with the ACLU agreeing to a 30-day extension for the administration to grant access.
