Over at the Health Beat Blog, Niko Karvounis has a long and depressing post on challenges to the VA's remarkably effective open source Health IT platform, Vista. It's aggravating stuff, and yet more evidence that running government effectively and trying to funnel as much money to private sector buddies as possible are not, in fact, compatible goals.
