The New York Times has a long profile today of Drew Westen, the Emory University neuro-psychologist who's book The Political Brain is making some waves lately. The profile even gets Bill Clinton on record: "To say I think it’s a very important book is an understatement.”
Somewhere, Westen's publisher just heard a cash register ring out. In all the hubbub though, I want to engage in a bit of magazine triumphalism. Westen was largely discovered by The American Prospect's co-founder, Bob Kuttner, and we ran the first excerpt of his book over a month ago, and had him reviewing campaign ads from the 2006 election all the way back in November. Just another reason you should subscribe.
