- In the off-cycle battle of 2013, the verdict seems to be that the GOP establishmenthas eked out a victory.
- Fortunately for the pundits and political prognosticators among us, there is a vast treasure trove of military history we can draw on when it comes to conservative intraparty warfare.

- Or 1948?
- Or 2010?
- Or 1992?
- Or 1985?
- Or 2007?
- Or 1990?

- Philip Bump at the Atlantic Wire says not to expect much success from the right until 2016 if we're still having the same conversation over the fractured fate of the GOP. But, you can't help but wonder, if the Republican Party has been at war for over 60 years as the archives suggest, that maybe our attentions are a bit misplaced.
