Niall O Dochartaigh is a visiting scholar at USC Annenberg School for Communication in Los Angeles and a professor at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He is the author of "From Civil Right to Armalites", a study of the breakdown of relations between the british army and the catholic population in Northern Ireland.
